THE POET & THE BEAR
The director was using the top floor room of his parents house, and we wallpapered one end of the room, so that it all looked like the lead character's bedroom. We filled it with teddy bears, and stuff that an artist would have, from paint & brushes to a wooden doll used for proportions of a human body. This helped establish in the opening shot that she was a budding artist.
The bear suit helped to keep Ryan warm, as this was shot on a pig farm in the depths of January, and he did very well to wield a chainsaw, baseball bat and pitchfork with the minimal vision he had out of the bear head.
